Aristea Tzagkaroulaki is a Physical Education teacher and a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She works at the Directorate of Primary Education of Heraklion and has significant experience in the design, coordination, and implementation of educational, sports, and cultural activities.

She has participated in European programmes and educational initiatives that promote innovation, collaboration, inclusion, and the connection between school and society. Her main areas of interest include activities that enhance students’ active participation, acceptance of diversity, creativity, and experiential learning.

She has many years of experience in organizing and coordinating educational and cultural events, collaborating with schools, teachers, institutions, and local organizations, as well as providing administrative support for collective actions. She holds a piano degree and a Master’s degree in Work-Based Learning in the teaching of traditional dances from Middlesex University in England.

In addition, she is a member of the Board of Directors and Dance Curator of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Heraklion, where she plays an active role in the design, coordination, and implementation of cultural events and collaborations.

She has a very good command of the English language and excellent familiarity with modern digital applications and information technology tools.

A central principle of her professional and social activity is the belief that education is not limited to the transmission of knowledge, but constitutes a living process of participation, collaboration, culture, and meaningful connection with people and society.
