Marilena Papazachariaki is the Principal of the 44th Primary School of Heraklion and a lecturer at Metropolitan College. She is a graduate of the Department of Primary Education and the Department of Philosophy and Social Studies of the University of Crete, and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from Neapolis University Cyprus.
She has many years of experience in educational administration, primary education, and teacher training. She has been actively involved in the design and implementation of European Erasmus+ programmes, international collaborations, and innovative educational initiatives in the fields of digital education, empathy, active citizenship, inclusion, and the internationalization of schools.
She participates in international conferences, scientific networks, and research initiatives, while her work also focuses on the development of educational material, the use of new technologies in education, and the promotion of collaborations among schools, universities, and local stakeholders.
